Night Kayaking in Krabi

Our first day in Krabi we went night kayaking! It was actually sunset kayaking, but they called it night kayaking. I love kayaking, it is a good arm workout. We needed to share a kayak with someone else, so Lindsley and I shared a kayak that didn't cover your legs.

We started in this area. There were so many kayaks around and it was such a beautiful area!

All six of us went kayaking and then there was a couple people from China and one person from Italy in our group. It was fun getting to know them during this trip!

Right when we went inside some trees there were monkeys everywhere. We paused to look at them for a minute and they were surrounding us. They were climbing everywhere, they climbed on the trees over the kayaks and they even got so close to our kayak that they almost climbed on it. Monkeys are everywhere in Thailand!

Me Kayaking!

We were kayaking around these cliffs. Someone told me that those two cliffs in the picture look like they are talking to each other! Haha.

When we were kayaking in the trees the water was really low. He told us that the water will be higher when it is a full moon or new moon. The alignments are different between the two, full moon alignment is moon, earth and then sun, and then new moon alignment is earth, moon, and then sun. New moon is stronger at pulling the tides in then full moon is because of its gravitational force. In some areas the tide can increase by fifty feet,. I found this fact he told us really interesting!
