Cambodia Killing Fields

I learned about Cambodia so much during the killing fields trip. It was a genocide that was called the Khmer Rouge the leader of this was Pol Pot who was trying to to form a communist peasant farming society. The genocide took place in 1975-1979, killing 25 percent of Cambodia's population (2,000,000 deaths).

This is what we first saw when we walked in. This is only from one killing field and the one we were standing on at that moment.

This is a "mass grave of 166 victims without heads." Thats what it says on the sign in the back.

This is the "Magic Tree...The tree was used as a tool to hang a loudspeaker which makes sounds louder to avoid the moan of victims while they were being executed." Read the sign on the tree.

I can't describe a lot on here, but it was interesting to here all about this genocide. It was also really sad listening to these stories that were told by some victims. I learned so much by going there that day, it was good to experience the place where the genocide was located.
